The free plan
What does the free plan include?
The free plan isn't a trial: it never expires. You can create up to three collections and a hundred cards, and you get 400 éclats every month, enough to import a first course and actually study it. Signing up adds a one-off welcome gift of 200 éclats.
Nothing is locked: a dozen card formats, spaced repetition, the assistant, the practice exam, study guides. What's limited is the amount, not the access.
- Reviews, retaken quizzes and retaken exams: free and unlimited
- Sub-collections and notes (written by hand or imported from Anki) don't count towards the limits

Éclats
Éclats, in plain words.
An éclat (French for a small shard of light) is the unit that measures the AI's work in Mindlet. Importing a document, generating a lesson, a study guide, a podcast or a practice exam: each of these uses éclats. A document page costs 5, a practice exam 30.
Your plan refills your balance every month, yearly plans included, and whatever you don't use carries over for one more month. The cost of an action is shown before you start it. When the balance runs out, you are never charged: generation waits for the next refill, and you keep reviewing.

Web or app stores
Why is it more expensive on the App Store?
Apple and Google take a 15% commission on every subscription sold through their stores. So our prices differ depending on where you subscribe: about 17% more on the stores. The web is the cheapest channel.
The app and its features are the same everywhere. A web subscription is managed inside Mindlet; one taken on iPhone or Android is managed in your Apple or Google account settings.
Glow, monthly
Schools
Cosmos: the licence for schools.
For a middle school, high school, university or training body. Only creators (the teachers and trainers who import and publish) pay. Learners review for free, with no limit on numbers.

It includes two creator seats, unlimited learners and observers, and 12,000 éclats a month shared across the whole space.

Seats that get cheaper in numbers
Each added creator seat brings 3,000 more éclats to the shared pool. Its price drops with the total headcount, and applies to every added seat.

Example: a high school with 12 creator teachers pays €99.99 + 10 × €25, so €349.99 a month, however many students it has.
Cancelling
How do I cancel?
Cancelling is free and possible at any time. You keep your plan until the end of the paid period, then your account moves to the free plan, with your collections and progress intact. The app interface is in French, so the labels below are quoted as they appear.

Open your settings
On the web, in Mindlet, open Réglages → Abonnement (Settings → Subscription).

Cancel
Under « Préférences de facturation » (billing preferences), click « Résilier votre contrat » (cancel your contract), then pick the subscription and confirm.

Get the confirmation
An email confirms the cancellation and the date it takes effect.
Subscribed on iPhone or iPad: device Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. On Android: Play Store, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Mindlet cannot cancel a store subscription on your behalf.

Secure payment
On the web, payment goes through Stripe. On mobile, through Apple or Google. Your card details never pass through our servers.

Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews at the end of each period unless you stop it at least 24 hours before. Any price change is announced 30 days ahead.

14-day withdrawal
On the web you have 14 days to withdraw, unless you tick a separate box to start straight away and waive that right.

No trial, no student discount
The free plan does the job of a trial. There is no student rate; web checkout does accept promo codes.

Purchases for adults only
Subscriptions can only be bought by people aged 18 or over. A minor's account keeps the free plan and all its reviews.

Frequently asked questions
Is Mindlet really free?
Yes. The free plan has no time limit and needs no credit card. It lets you create three collections and a hundred cards, with 400 éclats a month to import and generate. Every feature is available, and reviewing never uses éclats, whatever your plan.
Is there a student discount?
Not at the moment. The permanent free plan already covers real use, and paying yearly works out at about two months free (Spark at €4.99 a month instead of €5.99). Web checkout accepts promo codes when we run them.
Can I pay yearly?
Yes, every plan comes monthly or yearly. The yearly plan is paid in one go: €59.88 for Spark, €119.88 for Glow, €239.88 for Nova, €588 for Pulsar on the web. Your éclats are still refilled every month, twelve times a year.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On the web, open Réglages → Abonnement (Settings → Subscription) in Mindlet, then click « Résilier votre contrat » under billing preferences. It stops at the end of the paid period. If you subscribed on iPhone or Android, cancel in your Apple or Google account settings.
How much does a class licence cost?
Cosmos starts at €99.99 a month, with two teacher seats included and unlimited, free student accounts. Each extra creator teacher costs €27 to €24 a month depending on headcount. A free pilot is also possible before committing. See the pilot program.
Do paid plans have more features?
No. Free, Spark, Glow, Nova and Pulsar all include the same features. What changes from one plan to the next is the monthly éclats balance (from 400 to 7,500), the number of collections and cards, and how many pages are read when you import a whole website.
How many éclats does an action use?
Each action has its own rate, shown before you start it: 5 éclats per imported document page, 3 per minute of audio or video, 25 for a study guide, 30 for a practice exam, up to 640 for a lesson generated from a prompt. Glow's 1,500 monthly éclats cover, for example, 300 pages of imported course material. Reviewing, retaking a quiz or retaking an exam costs nothing.
What happens when I run out of éclats?
You are not charged and your subscription stays the same. Actions that generate content (import, study guide, practice exam) wait for next month's refill, and you keep reviewing as normal. Éclats can't be bought one by one: to get more each month, choose a higher plan.
