Child safety and protection

Children's safety is an absolute priority. Here are our commitments, our standards and the ways to report a problem to us.

Our commitment

Mindlet offers a collaborative learning space while looking after the safety and well-being of minors. We apply the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), including its article 45 on the consent of minors under 15, and work with the competent authorities to prevent any risk of abuse or exploitation.

Our safety standards

  • Content moderation

Imported documents, generated cards and exchanges with the assistant go through automated moderation. Reports sent to our team are reviewed by a person, who removes inappropriate content.

Prohibited content: images, messages or comments of a sexual, violent or discriminatory nature.

  • Abuse prevention

Harassment, soliciting a minor and any sexual content involving a minor are prohibited by our terms. They lead to the suspension or closure of the account concerned, and to a report to the authorities.

Under 15, features between members (friends, messages, challenges) remain closed until a parent has given their consent, and are never opened before 13.

  • Cooperation with the authorities

Mindlet reports any unlawful content or risk situation to the competent authorities (Pharos, NCMEC), in compliance with legal procedures, to ensure a fast and confidential response.

Our reports comply with the French and European laws in force.

  • User education

We raise awareness among minors, parents and teachers of online risks and of good practices for using Mindlet.

For any educational question, write to us at support@mindlet.app.
