The Mindlet app is in French. This guide quotes each button as it appears on screen, in French, with its English meaning in brackets. Your own courses and cards can be in English or eight other languages.
Every collection starts from a course. You can begin with a file, a link (YouTube video, web page or whole site), some pasted text, or just a topic when you have nothing at hand. Mindlet turns it into cards in several formats and a lesson path.
Create a collection from a course
- Open Collections and tap « Ajouter » (Add). If you have no collection yet, the button reads « Ajouter mon premier cours » (Add my first course).
- On the « Ajoute ton cours » (Add your course) screen, drop your file on the « Dépose ton cours ici » (Drop your course here) area, or tap it to pick the file from your device. On a phone, the area reads « Choisis ton cours » (Choose your course). You can add several files.
- For a link or some text, use the « Ou colle un lien ou un texte » (Or paste a link or some text) field: a YouTube link, a website address or the text of your course.
- Tap « Créer ma collection » (Create my collection).
Mindlet analyses the content, then prepares the cards. You can leave the screen in the meantime: if you allowed notifications, Mindlet lets you know when the collection is ready.
Adjust a website or a PDF before sending
- Website: on the link’s row, choose « Tout le site » (The whole site) or « Cette page » (This page). A whole site means up to 50 pages, depending on your plan.
- PDF: the file’s « … » menu offers « Pages à exclure » (Pages to skip), handy for leaving out a bibliography or appendices.
Start from a topic, without a file
On the « Ajoute ton cours » screen, tap « Je n’ai pas de fichier : partir d’un sujet » (I don’t have a file: start from a topic), type your topic in the « Ton sujet » (Your topic) field, for example “the French Revolution”, then tap « Créer ma collection ». Mindlet looks for sources on the web and writes the course, then the cards. Like any text written by AI, this course can contain mistakes: read it through.
Add content to an existing collection
Open the collection, go to the Sources tab and tap « Ajouter du contenu » (Add content). The same drop area and field appear; confirm with « Ajouter » (Add). The new cards join the collection.

- Cards come from your course, but AI can make mistakes: you can edit or delete any card in the Cartes (Cards) tab.
- Your course can be in English: content can be generated in nine languages.
