The Mindlet app is in French. This guide quotes each button as it appears on screen, in French, with its English meaning in brackets. Your own courses and cards can be in English or eight other languages.

Two screens set your rhythm: « Session d’étude » (Study session) for session length and flow, and « Notifications » for reminders. Both live in Moi → Réglages (Me → Settings).

Choose the session length

  1. Open Moi (Me), then Réglages (Settings), then « Session d’étude » (Study session).
  2. Under « Longueur d’une session » (Session length), choose Courte, Moyenne or Longue (Short, Medium or Long).
  3. To take your time reading each correction, turn on « Je lis la correction à mon rythme » (I read the correction at my own pace). When it’s off, Mindlet moves on after a correct answer.
LengthCardsRough duration
Courte (Short)about tenabout 5 minutes
Moyenne (Medium)about twentyabout 10 minutes
Longue (Long)about thirtyabout 15 minutes

« Plus de réglages » (More settings) opens further options: showing progress during the session, confirming before you leave, how long corrections stay on screen.

Set your reminders

In Réglages → Notifications:

  • « Comment te prévenir » (How to reach you): « Par email » (By email), « Sur mes appareils » (On my devices), or both.
  • « De quoi te prévenir » (What to tell you about): for example « Mes révisions du jour » (Today’s reviews) or « Ma série va s’éteindre » (My streak is about to end).
  • « Quand te rappeler » (When to remind you): « Heure préférée » (Preferred time; on « Automatique », Mindlet picks an early evening slot) and « Heures calmes » (Quiet hours), when no reminder arrives. By default the night stays quiet, from 9 pm to 8 am.

How Mindlet reminds you

  • Mindlet never sends more than one review reminder a day.
  • If you ignore reminders, Mindlet spaces them out on its own.
  • Permission to show notifications is asked at the end of a session, never when the app opens.
  • Each device is allowed separately. If you said no on your phone, allow Mindlet in the phone’s settings, under Notifications.
