The Mindlet app is in French. This guide quotes each button as it appears on screen, in French, with its English meaning in brackets. Your own courses and cards can be in English or eight other languages.
A live room is a group quiz: the host shows the questions, on a projector for example, and everyone answers from their phone. To take part you need a Mindlet account and the room code.
Join with the code
- Open app.mindlet.app/live and find « Rejoindre une salle » (Join a room).
- Type the six-character code shown by the host in the « Code de la salle » (Room code) field.
- Check the name you’ll play under. « Changer de pseudo » (Change nickname) lets you pick another: it’s the name others see on the leaderboard.
- Tap « Rejoindre » (Join).
- Wait: the game starts as soon as the host launches it.
Quicker: scan the QR code shown next to the room code with your phone. It opens the room directly. If a friend invites you, a notification takes you there too.
If it doesn’t work
- « Salle introuvable » (Room not found): the room doesn’t exist or has ended. Check the code with the person who created it.
- « Salle complète » (Room full): there’s no space left.
- « Salle fermée » (Room closed): the game is over.
Hosting a room
Hosting is reserved for school and organisation spaces: a trainer or an administrator starts it from the space, with « Animer une salle en direct » (Host a live room). See Create a school space.
Age
Between 13 and 15, features between members, live rooms included, need a parent’s consent.
